Textiles
I love the broad spectrum of possible uses of fibers in fine art, applied arts and fashion using textiles.
It is the tactile feel that doesn’t exist in any other medium that makes textiles so desirable for me to work with. Working with natural fibers such cotton, silk, and wool are most appealing. In the past I spent many years dyeing fabrics but in my recent art work below, I use commercially printed fabric which I cut apart, collage and embellish with stitching.
